Quality standards for lawyers of trust

Protection of whistleblowers and companies

The German Ombudsman Association – Vereinigung deutscher Vertrauensanwälte e.V. is an association of lawyers and in-house counsels who specialize in supporting companies in their investigation of criminal offenses and compliance violations as external lawyers of trust, so-called “ombudsmen” or “ombudspersons”.

The association would like to develop and implement quality standards for the work of external lawyers of trust.

In addition, it wants to draw attention to the tasks and the special responsibility of ombudsper-sons when it comes to combating and investigating criminal offenses in companies.
